We are Julia Larson and Erin Chapman, a birth, postpartum, and lactation support doula duo based in Berkeley/Oakland and we are currently accepting clients with Kaiser insurance.
We focus on enhancing pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences by reducing fear, creating a safe space for vulnerable conversations, educating families, being advocates, offering healing touch, & so much more.
Becoming parents can feel scary and isolating, but it doesn't have to be that way.
Our goal is to join your team to demystify birth, encourage families to connect to their intuition, provide evidence based information, facilitate partner bonding and stand by your side during one of the most influential and memorable experiences of your lives.

Our Kaiser Birth Support Package includes:
Three extended prenatal sessions, 1.5-2hrs in length, (1) getting to know one another, childbirth education, creating a birth vision/plan (2) for breastfeeding preparation/education and (3) comfort and coping measures for labor.
Birth Support from active labor onset to 1.5-2 hrs postpartum after birth
Two extended postpartum visits of 180 minutes ea
Kaiser coverage includes:
An initial extended visit of 90 minutes
Up to 8 visits of 60 minutes (prenatal or postpartum)
Support during vaginal delivery or support during a cesarean section
Up to 2 extended postpartum visits of 180 minutes

Details regarding this care:
We will sign a contract for this doula support plan and bill Kaiser directly.
Additional postpartum care is available out of pocket as desired. More information here.
No referral is needed. Doula care is “self referred” meaning no prior approval or prescription from your care provider is required.
