When you are struggling with things like nipple pain, slow weight gain, or latching your infant onto the breast, it is an enormous relief to have someone meet you in your own space, with your own stuff, where you and baby are the most comfortable. I come to your home so we can have the most productive consultation possible-- where you can ask questions, get answers, and ensure you are feeling supported and empowered.

Private in-home visit includes:

review mother and infant medical history
observation of a feeding, often a weighted feed
help can include: positioning, latch, nipple care, nipple healing techniques, pumping demonstration
discuss ways to make sure your infant is “getting enough”
discuss normal infant feeding patterns and expectations
creation of clear care and feeding plans
resources, videos, and referrals as needed

I also offer a Prenatal lactation education session for expectant clients.
I feel SUPER passionate that every expectant family should integrate lactation education and prep into their prenatal journey.
Doing a prenatal breastfeeding education session is extremely impactful— (1) it gives us a chance to meet and connect prenatally so if and when you need support once baby arrives we are able to hit the ground running and (2) it can be hard to learn and absorb information in the freshly postpartum period so taking a chance to set a general foundation of knowledge and best practices before baby arrives really sets you up for success.

Topics include:
interactive instruction & demo of latch & positioning
information about the “golden hour” and your first latches
how to identify the signs of milk transfer
a “road map” of breastfeeding so you know what you may encounter in the first week of life?
how to “bring milk in”
flange fitting, pump demo, and more as desired

This visit happens in my office space and is usually 1.5 hrs long.
